What happens when a dancer marries a sailor? A wedding full of energy, creativity, and unforgettable moments, of course! We had the honor of photographing this incredible celebration at 1859 Ashton Villa in Galveston, TX, and it was truly a day to remember. From a stunning outdoor ceremony to a surprise sword cake cutting and an epic flash mob dance, this wedding had it all! The outdoor ceremony set the tone for the day. With Ashton Villa’s beautiful historic grounds as the backdrop, the couple said their vows as the sun dipped lower, casting everything in the most perfect golden light. The whole scene was so romantic, and we got some truly magical portraits that captured their joy and love in those warm, soft rays. But this wedding had more surprises up its sleeve! Instead of the usual cake cutting, the groom—a sailor—pulled out a sword to cut the cake, adding a fun and dramatic twist to the moment. And as if that wasn’t enough, the newlyweds treated their guests to an incredible flash mob dance that took everyone by surprise and had everyone dancing the rest of the night. To cap off the night, the couple made a grand exit in style, driving away in a beautiful antique car. It was the perfect, classic ending to a day full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments! This couple truly made the day their own, and you could feel it in every moment—from the sweet ceremony to the wild dance floor.
